Online Event Registration

Events Management has contracted with Certain Software to provide an online registration solution for the University. Individual Departments in schools or allied and affiliate organizations may request access to this service. Requests from school departments must be forwarded to their financial dean’s office for approval. Requests from central administration departments or affiliates must be forwarded to the appropriate VP or financial director’s office for approval.

This service, Certain Meetings, provides a fast and easy way to provide online registration for your conference or event. With minimal training you can build your event yourself or you can contract with Certain Software to build your event for you. There is a $4.95 fee per registrant, and a setup fee of $250 for new accounts. There is also a discount fee charged by credit card processors (2.6% for MasterCard & Visa, 2.95% for AMEX) for all income accepted via credit cards. Event Management will post your income and all fees on a monthly basis to the GL coding you provide. (Refer to Users Guide) Departments can generally build events themselves using the event wizard. If you want Certain to build an event for you, Certain will estimate the cost for your event and ask you to sign an order form. These fees are invoiced once the form has been signed and returned. Event Management will pay the invoice using the GL coding you provide.

Once a complete approved request has been received by Events Management, it will be forwarded to Certain. Certain or Events Management will contact you when your account has been setup. If Certain is building your event, please allow a minimum of three weeks from the beginning of the build until you need your event to be ready to accept registrations.

*Note: Event options are available University-wide. All prices have been negotiated between the Harvard University - Events Management Office and Certain Software for the benefit of Schools/Departments/Business Units with event processing needs.
